Hi guys,

Lookin forward to getting and sharing info and advice on fish care. I'm still kind of a newbie so I'm betting I'll be learning more from y'all first.
So here goes. Question 1. Could anyone gimme advice on how to make my Ghostknifefish grow faster so I may put him in the big tank with my big fishes. My Ghostknife at this moment is only 3 inches long and stays in my 7 gallon tank. I feed him frozen bloodworms and TetraBits. I'll keep it to just that one question for now so as not to overwhelm you all just yet. Thanks in advance!

7 GALLONS TOO SMALL!!!!!

anyways, just feed well and it'll grow big!

you will need a larger tank then the 7 and 35 gals...min 55gal larger is better...feed it a veried diet...like market shrimp, ghoast shrimp, bloodworms, blackworms, night crawlers(cut), try some pellets as well...it might not take the pellets

Growth rate may vary on Tank size and mates....I had my BGK in my Big tank with polys and other compatible fish but he was there for about 2 months or maybe alittle less and he didn't grow at all on blood worms....He got chomped and almost died from my senegal...So i put him in a tank by himself and he made a full recovery and grew about an inch in about 3 weeks!..He lives with 2 tiny Delhezi's growing out and is the dominant fish.

my 2 are at 10" at a yr or a little less...i feed them the diet i all ready stated...you can expect them to slow at that point

i'm planning to get a BGK if the cowfish price don't drop!!!!!!

They are slow grower, but give them lots of room, quality foods, and clean water. That will help it grow as fast as it can.

I know alot of people say they're slow growers but mine is growing as fast as my polys!

wow, one just eyed me with his cute eyes when I was shopping, so I got a new 55 g for him and some blue gravel and ornaments... the tank's still cycling, and I've got him on a hold... this is my 2nd FW tank in my life... all the other tank's were all salt!
