Hi everyone, i was away this weekend and my black ghost knife fish is acting very strange and im worried about it. She has a rip in her fins and she is swimming very strange. I have her in a 55 gallon tank but this is temperarly as i will be upgrading to a 180 gallon very soon. Shes 4 in. I think she may have ammonia poison. If so, how do i solve it! Please i need help

Do a water change asap and make sure you add dechlorinator. Also how often do you do water changes and do have a test kit? If you have a test kit test your parameters and list them so members can better understand what is going on.

My water conditions are good, but shes still swimming weird should i just give her time?
Tank mates: 3, 2 in clown loaches and 4 3 in silver dollars. These are all also going into the 180 gallon, but there perfectly fine

It almost seems like shes crippeled. Shes is trying her best to swim but she cant swim very much. Is there anything else i shoud do?

Also, you should have tested the water you took OUT, not the tankwater after you put the freshwater back IN. That tells us nothing.
Is there any tank mates in with her?
Sounds like your tank isn't cycled, nitrate should be more then 0ppm
Ive had this tank for almost 5 months, the only tank mates are 3 small clown loaches and 4 small silver dollars. Theve all grown up together. I will be getting a 150 gallon soon and they are all going in there

Sounds like a good upgrade for that stock.
Test your water tomorrow, if your tank is fully cycled with adequate filtration there should be no ammonia and some nitrate.
What filters are you running
