So I decided to end the sturgeon that I was trying to revitalise. But before I properly disposed of it, I decided to look at it for causes of distress and which it would have eventually lead to death, to prevent any of my other fishes to die. So when i was inspecting it, I noticed that its gills around on the ends of the corners were turning black, which I looked up possible causes and a cause was ammonia, But all my water parameters were 0 with a ph of 8.4 so any idea what caused the gills to start turning black? Not only that, yesterday, the eye on the right was opaque so i assumed the sturgeon injured it. But today, the eye has like broke/melted and I cannot find any causes or reasons for it. any helpful idea or thoughts would be grateful, thank you for your time.
