LFS has a Jardini Juvi... It is black in color... Any one know which Jar this is? I am a SA lover and am gettin a silver from the same place. But this little guy caught my i and struck the curiousity bone:) What will he look like when hes grown?

Not really into Asians aro's but had to ask..

Thanks

Jardinis are from Australia ;) (scleropages jardini)

I've never heard of a black one though, but I've often seen them with quite dark coloration when they're young.

Why don't you get it and grow it out? Maybe it will be worth some money..

My bad the black part was my own addition. I told the lfs owner "hey is that a Jardini?" he said yes.. It was black so i was just wonderin.. And the asians and aussies look similar to me... Thanks for straightening me out on the origin :)

I know more about Silvers and my interest the species i have aside from the Pangasius cats are all CA or SA in the tank that would accomidzate him for now... I might think about gettin him.. He was very intrigueing.. And i have mixed continents before.. Like my Africans and Americans.. But i have had so much fun since i put one side in the tanks... I have learned allot more as well... :)

But maybe it's time to go back to mixing LOL you'll know within a few weeks... :)

could have beena juvi, some young ones look black, but grow into their normal silvers.

*shrugs*

Its just a normal jar...

Oh no.. The body structure was not that of a silver.. The tail was different.. and the silvers he has and purchases are 9" to this Jardini's 4" the structure is completely different though. But thanks :)

eeeeep...

I must not have been thinking, I've had silvers on the mind all day! I ment Jardini!

hehe

most juvi jardinis have different colors, some might even be reddish, goldish or blackish. but they all grow up to be normal pearly-scaled aussie jardinis. if youre gonna mix it in a community tank, keep in mind that jardinis are the baddest moth#@$%!-FU@#!$% in the aro world!
