Ive been wanting black pines for along time, something everyone dosnt have, think they are a bit more for non beginners but Im really wanting to breed them maybe.........I am pondering either them or the mex black kings, but I think they are so common already. As far as making a little money and doing something interesting what do you guys think of the two.

i know a quite a few people with either black or leusistic pines, they are stunning. good luck with them and let us know how the breeding goes.

PS. that bump= NASTY! I hate bot flies.

Black Pines all the way. I am biased because that's what I have as well. They are just stunning as adults. When you handle a 5.5 foot 8 lb adult you are hooked. They are a bit pissy as juvies, but mellow out in time. You're right about the other black snakes that are readily available. They're all cool animals in their own right, but kind of humdrum. Not to mention trying to put a breeding group or unrelated pair is a real service to a threatened American treasure. Do it.

I would go with the black pines as well. They are a beautiful snake.
