How easy is it for a Black knife to get ick? are they scaleless? Mine has some spots that are looking like ick but i also have a mix of white sand and black gravel in my tank so i am not sure if its just bits of sand caught in the scales or if i should treat him for ick right away. any help??

i think they are very sensitive to low temperatures, and it will be relevant to bgk to get ick!!

75-85 degrees should be fine for the BGK, as long as it is constant. 78-80 is optimal.

I believe ghost knives are scaleless (could be wrong), and yes they can get Ich.. I always treat my BGK tank with salt when I add new tankmates so there is never an introduced ich outbreak. It dosn't seem to bother him, or the mormyrid in the tank.
