I found a new petsmart, and it seemed pretty good. Unfortunately I couldn't find regular kuhli loaches, with the stripes. However, I found some black kuhli loaches. Do they have similar requirements? Would it be a good idea to get 3 in a 10g? What is their ideal ph, and could I keep neon tetras with them? Thanks.

yes to all of the above, and they will adapt to nearly any ph, even the 8.2~8.4ph of woodland tap.
Okay, thanks. Now, what should I feed them, bloodworms? Their mouths are so darn small, can they fit bloodworms in their mouths? What else can I feed them?
Any sinking foods should be alright. Even larger pelletized sinkers will be nibbled apart by them. Assuming the gourami lives, you could move it into the 10 gallon with them. There will be sufficient upper strata space since the loaches are primarily benthic.

I have a black kuhli loach behavior ? My loaches swim circles in the tank....by that I mean..they start from the bottom and will swim towards the surface then down again.......I've noticed that they will do this for 5 to 10 minutes at the time. Has anyone else ever seen their loaches do this?
