Hi everyone, does anyone have info on the behavior of the black lancer catfish, aka bagrichthys macracanthus? i have one and it is in a 70 gallon with similarly sized tankmates including monos scats archerfish and clown loaches. the water is freshwater and is compatible with it, but it likes to swim vertically or upside down against driftwood for about 90 percent of the time, the rest of the time it is moving from a piece of driftwood to another. i dont know what it has been eating but it has survived for about a month. anyone have a clue?

It is one of the most striking beautiful catfish but quite rare. I'd love to have one but I've never even seen one live. Sorry, mate, cannot help you but give you a bump... and a suggestion to post on PlanetCatfish. I've read posts there from people with lancers. A search here and on PCF may help you too. Do you know how to search the Catfish forum on MFK?
