Black Lighting ?

Anyone ever used Black/Blue fluro tubes ? the type that makes anything white glow in night clubs.

I have inherited a heap of tubes ( 4' ) and was wondering what effect they had on the fish, posative and neg ?

Has anyone got any photos of them on tanks ?

Ive heard they make you fish go blind , is this true ?

I have 1 on my tank... Does'nt look very great at night...very dim.. No glowing fish also.. Basically they r of no use as lighting for fish...

also they get hot real hot, real quick. will start bending acrylic tanks on the top

We use them on our Glofish Danio tank at work. It is the same as a Marine Glo Actinic light. In fact, we just replaced the black light bulb with the marine glo and had better luck with the brightness of the black light. They are the same colour, tho.

why buy blaqck light bulbs that are expensive and burn out n dim in short periods of time when they have marine led moon lites that can be placed as desired for a smaller price than those long dim tubes ive tryed both just to see and preffer the led's heavily
