In the picture there is a circle on this flowerhorns tail why is his tail black on there? Please let me know why this happens and anything you know about this event!

My guess is that the fin was ripped and recently healed. I’ve seen it before with a few of my juveniles. However I cannot explain biologically what is going on.
Agreed with Spence as most likely cause; just watch it to see if it gets any bigger/spreads, which could indicate another issue. If it stays like it is, no worries imho, in fact I think it looks kind of cool as an accent to his flowerline.
