i was wondering if you can use black magic with an african community i have read all kinds of mixed posts but nothing concrete and when i put black magic in the search it shows up as someones quote so i couldent find posts about it and who has had experience using black magic with cichlids i am looking for a cheap alt to eco complete but if not i will get eco complete

Is it a substrate? For africans i would just recommend crushed coral to raise the pH.
EDIT: After doing a google search... Eco-complete is used for planted tanks, and africans don't mix with plants. I recommend you use crushed coral and texas holey rock.
