Haits don't like their own kind, even in my 150 the most dominant youngster would seek out others to harass and cause it to bloat from stress.
My suggestion would be to put 3 in a tank divided in 3 compartments, when sex differences appear, put the male in the middle compartment, and you will then know which are compatible.
My compatible pair lived together for years., but any other fish was systematically destroyed by them.

In Hispaniola the island where they are the "only"endemic cichlid, temps they abide in are a bit higher than most cichlids, upper 80s, sometimes higher (find the article Oh Island in the Sun The Dominican Republic by Alf Stalsberg). I tried to maintain of 88'F for my pair, when a heater broke and temps dropped in the low 70s my female died of ich almost over night.
I fed low protein catfish pellets, and whatever insects I could find in the yard to balance it out, the pair spawned many times over the years and grew to over 14" for the male and 11" for the female.
