Hey I wanted to find out if anybody on here has ever kept an Cichlasoma Hatiensis before. I have found kind of conflicting info on them which also lead me to believe I found a site that is probably worthless as a fish reference.

says that they are peacful yet thi site states that they are ruthless killers

They look mean and with a common name of "Black Nasty" I would assume they are. What would the actual minimum tank size be? (I was thinking maybe in my 65 which measures 36x18x28 not so sure on the height) Can they be kept with other fish or are they really that aggressive? What about water parameters? Any info would be great, thanks.

. Levi did you read the people's posts about them on aquahobby? Makes them sound pretty cool, gonna see if I can grow mine out then challenge people to bring their RD's over and let them duke it out
. Or maybe I'll se if I can breed one with one of my Trimacs and make the ultimate killing machine
