Hi i have a jack dempsey a adult male (bad A**) convict and a small 4 inch pleco. I was wonderign to make the jack dempseys skin color underneath his shiny flecs dark what color background shoul di use i pout blue theres its cool cuz my rocks r blue btu since i took the divider out his skin color got lighter like a very like pruple instead of dark purple would black be better?

go with black the blue is probably washing his color out, and besides blue gravel looks like ****

nah its blue and grey and looks cool at first iw anted natural butg saw a video with jacxk dmepsey with blue rocks and got em. Its pretty cool.

black gravel would look a ton better.

ive seen blue done with jack dempseys and there colros were amazing so i tried it and ill post pictures up when i get ahold of a usb chord and show u his colors and see if they r good for his size and age, ive had him for a month and he has grown 2 inches. I love his colors.

I have black gravel in the tank with my jacks and they stand out really nice with the blue color they have, so I would go with black.

With blue gravel, I would go with a black background. There are 2 sided backgrounds available which have black on one side and blue on the other. Is that your JD in the avatar? Nice looking fish.
