Black or brown bullhead?

Perhaps you can help me. Is this the black or brown bullhead?

Tough to tell at that size. It doesn't look like the black that I had, so I am guessing Brown.

I'd also say brown... Blacks that I've seen are much darker...

That would be a brown bullhead..i dont think there is a black..jst dark brown

But these are sold definitely as Ameiurus melas / Black Bullhead.

this is a black bullhead

though when searching I found some lighter ones... But this is what I've always seen as a black...
