my own is like that but with a few stripes but nothing like the red stripes you see on google

ya mine hasnt showed any red so far since i got him an he has doubled his size since i got him.

Very cool Oscar. Im interested to see what it looks like when it is bigger. Hard to tell when theyre that young. Mine was dark black with a lot of bright red at that size. Now at 10- 12" it has lost a large majority of its red and is dark black and light black. My understanding, when they are older, they are lighter in color when they are happy.

i was wondering since there are all white albino o's could there be the possiblility of a all black?

they thats awsome.but i see you have a jag and athere ciclids maybe hes stress but i doubt it,its probally real close to a wild oscar in south america.the ones here in south fl and teal in colour.ciclid quickly adapt to there home.you have a one of a kind fish wactch him past the othere fish in size lol
