this is my oscar an for some reason he is all black is that common?

Very cool Oscar. Im interested to see what it looks like when it is bigger. Hard to tell when theyre that young. Mine was dark black with a lot of bright red at that size. Now at 10- 12" it has lost a large majority of its red and is dark black and light black. My understanding, when they are older, they are lighter in color when they are happy.
 
they thats awsome.but i see you have a jag and athere ciclids maybe hes stress but i doubt it,its probally real close to a wild oscar in south america.the ones here in south fl and teal in colour.ciclid quickly adapt to there home.you have a one of a kind fish wactch him past the othere fish in size lol
