Black Paradise fish, Blue Betta Plakat crossbreed

My girlfriend recently purchased some small yellow african cichlids for my community tank.
Well, They were small, So I decided to put them in my paradise fish tank, To get some size on them.
They proceeded to go on a killing spree. Leaving two female paradise fish alive. A long finned albino,
Which is now in a hospital tank. And an egg filled black paradise, With minor scrapes.
She took an instant interest in one of girlfriends male plakats. So to give her some relief.
I put them together in a breeding tank. It was a match! They get along great!
Even after the breeding. There was no rush to remove her. She is in better shape now,
Then before I put her in.

The male is a Big blue monster plakat. (Fighter)

And the female is a Black paradise fish.

I don't have a lot of hope for the fry, But they should be hatching tonight, Or tomorrow.
And the Plakat is a proven breeder. And a great dad.

I've never heard of this, but let us now how it goes

So far nothing has hatched.
I'll give it another day, Before I open the nest.

Well, The male betta tended the nest right up until the end.
But today, I lifted the cover on his nest. To find no viable eggs.
It's not that I'm surprised at this, It's just that I was hoping.
