I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is the white coating that I have on my pond liner? Is it dangerous to the fish? Is it the same stuff that grows on the rubber pieces of the fx5? I tried scrubbing it off... it's hard to do, and severely clouds the water. It probably won't be as noticeable in my intex pool when I get it set up, right? ; ) Because I'm sure it'll grow there too.

If it's what it is in 90% of cases, plecos will help, but pics are always good.

I'm pretty sure it is what 90% of cases are lol. My pond isn't heated so I can't keep plecos. Its 65 degrees. Snails? Or am I in for an invasion? lol.

Ancistrus, Commons and Gibbies do well in 65 degrees ;) Snails are also a possibility, but I think you, have a crayfish? My old one would eat snails.

Wow, really? I can put a huge common pleco or 2 in my pond? I'm sure they'd tag team the white walls : ) And no more crayfish.

Yeah , plecos are tough as nails. And if you don't have crays anymore snails will also work.

Wow sweet. I wonder for 8x6x1.5' how many snails I'd need haha. Are there any I should avoid or any that are recommended? Can I do plecos AND snails?

Not sure what is but it sounds like the white flaky stuff that forms on the black rubber hose I use for my pump return. It is easily scraped off of the hose.
