Nice McPhishy ! It looks like it has a little of the stripe left. What are you feeding yours ?

Yeah the yellow stripe is really faint, but its still there. So far I've gotten it to go after freeze dried bloodworms. I see yours are going after hikari sticks. Isn't the hikari sticks too big for them? I mean the black is 3"+, but it still has a small mouth. Gotta love the orange tail tip.

I break the sticks into 1/3'rds any smaller and they sink and are not eaten.

how cute.
mine is about 4"+, maybe 5" but still pretty black, the yellow strip on the body is pretty much gone tho.
so yours eat food stick? mine wouldn't touch it even when I broke it into small pieces. used to love FD bloodworm but kind of lost interest now, loves crickets tho. wasn't planning on feeding live but it hasn't been eating much so didn't want it to die or anything

Feeding arowanas crickets is a big no no, as arowanas instantly get hook onto the cricket and rejects all other foods. Its better to use live bloodworms vs. crickets. My black was pellet trained by snookn21.

lucky you that they are already pellet trained.
I'm just going to finish all the remaining crickets then try to get it on food stick.
it went for it today but spit it out :(
