Does anyone have a source for 1 1/2" black PVC (plumbing quality)? I've found only one source and hope I can find a better deal. The only quote I have is for a minimum order of 150 feet at $4.02 a foot. :WHOA: I know there's lots of sites for colored PVC, but the PVC is furniture quality.

Painting the pipes black doesn't work for us. Our big brutes ram the pipes so hard, the paint gets abraided off.

black pvc is usually use for electrical wiring

I don't know if there's one near you, but I put Sacramento in Ferguson's location finder and got This Map (link goes to www.ferguson.com)

They're a national plumbing supply house. If they don't have it or know where to get it it doesn't exist (in the plumbing world)

look at ABS pipe

ABS pipe does not sink. The connectors do, but I unfortunately have gone down this path only to have floating pipes. However, if you can weight it down, you're good to go. The largest connectors are a little expensive, but my guys just love all the crazy shapes they come in, and I just buy them from Lowes.

I get some from slakey's about once a month its always in stock.. Your in Nor Cal let me know if you want me to grab some for you.

And yes it is often used for electrical conduit. But not exclusively a lot of house drainage is done with ABS in California as its cheap. Though my father told me its not used a lot in the mid west due to building code and what not. Have not delved much deeper into why.
