Ever since I got this shy little dude he has not failed to amaze me. It has COMPLETELY come out of its shell since I stuck it in the 55gal all by itself. At the LFS it hid in the back of the tank and was not active at all, actually cowered when you looked in the tank at it.

Now it is completely front and center, in your face almost 100% of the time. It is also one of the most aggressive fish I have ever kept. . . Being only 2.5" MAYBE, it thinks the whole 55gal tank is its domain. It will follow your finger around the tank on the glass, repeatedly trying to bite you through it. I'm kind of nervous about doing a water change really. . . ha.

Eating like a champ as well. The people at the LFS said they were having troubles getting it to eat. So far its tearing up earthworms, catfish nuggets, ghost shrimp, and unlucky comet goldfish that my other fish don't finish off.

It just surprised me how much this fish has changed since I got it and gave it a little TLC. Very cool to say the least! :) Tempted to try some of its larger cousins now. :)

now, tell me, as a mod, old school member, and an overall reasonably competent person why you DIDN'T INCLUDE A PICTURE?!?!?!? :irked:

link please :)

LOL, the joys of pufferkeeping! I'm glad he's so entertaining.

I suppose yeah. I would rather dedicate the tank to one of his larger cousins though. I guess there are really only two types of puffers that are readily available that get large huh? Fahaka and Mbu? I wish the Fahaka's had more reds and greens on them. It looks like it fades as they get larger. :(

What is the puffer that has all the red, green, and yellow spots on it? Starts with a P. . .
