black sand substrate and fish color

Hi all, setting up a 125g to house a synspillum pair.I was planning on doing a full on planted tank but decided against in favor of the synspillum pair.anyway I have a couple of hundred lb. of black diamond blasting grit,a favouritevwith the plant guys I was wondering if the black substrate would dull the color of the syncs or would it make the colors pop,thanks in advance.

My black background make the fish's colors look good. I would think black sand would do the same.

Thanks, and yes those are Anubias. I used to have a full Anubias tank, easy plants and beautiful

I use this for substrate in my 75. I love it. You just have to be sure to rinse it VERY well.
