I have the chance of getting a 10" Black shark (Labeo chrysophekadion) for free.
I've read that they can be aggressive, so I'm wondering if I could keep one with my current stock?

Stock - 125G
1x Oscar 10"
1x Firemouth 5-6"
1x Oscar 5"
2x Heros Efasciatum 8" and 4" (breeding pair)

I had a black shark years ago in a 125 with some veija cichlids. He was fine until he reached 6 inches then he was impossible to keep other fish with. He claimed the 125 for himself and grew to 23 inches very quickly. I kept him for 2 years then sold him. Very cool active fish but a real bastard to other fish.

I would say yes, they are territorial fish but in the end of it, a large black shark is much cooler than some common cichlids.

bare in mind they have very small mouths so there is no risk of predation, just bullying, I would just supply the firemouths with caves that the shark couldn't possibly get into. That way you are basically stopping any form of bullying. So yeah go for it!
