Your black shark or Labeo chrysophekadion, is a type of cyprinid and will grow to about 2 feet. I personally dont have much experience with these guys, but i've heard that they can be quarelsome at times.

Fishlover88 is correct. They will get around 20-24 inches with proper care in an aquarium. They are extremely aggressive!! I was at a local store several years ago and someone dropped off one that was around 18 inches. It was in a 300g tank with a large Red Devil and a Butti and it was chasing them all over the place. Extremely mean!!!
mine killed a ck and a oscar and then had a go at my old pacu

Yeah, 24" and possibly more if cared for properly. Mine is not too bad on the aggression side, chases stuff around but nothing too serious. I have seen ones which are much more aggressive. Here is mine, just under 24" (I've had her from 2" and for eleven years). She is in a 10'x2'x2'.
My 20in black shark can be very agressive he's killed and eaten plenty of fish in the past.
They are more agressive towards certain fish than others, for example mine has lived fine for the last 6 months fine with a large bala shark but i then added a labeo boga to the tank the bs went nuts trying to get the boga the boga hid under a rock so the bs killed the bala shark as he was still angry charging around the aquarium attacking everything.

yah one thing i learned sadly about black sharks is they are jumpers . i bought a beautiful jet black one that was about 8 inches and i left the lid off the tank one day and came home to a dried up black shark on the floor . after looking at cichlas i want to get another one though .
grew one from 1" to about 6 or 7" in my early cichlid days, and it was a mean SOB, especially towards anything with a similar shape
