Black silicone?

I just realized that the silicone on my new 125g is black. Does GE make any 100% silicones that are black, or any other company for that matter. I'm questioning whether its fish safe or not.

Plenty of black silicones out there, i believe i9t's an option from glass cages, I wouldnt worry about it.

I personally called General Electric and asked them about this silicone. It has the lowest VOC rating of any 100% silicone products and is proven to be the strongest. The downside: it is a ***** to find a place that sells it.

It will be fine. I've had plenty of glass tanks with black silicone.

its safe. Miracles Aquariums in the GTA has been making tanks only with black silicone for 15 years now. Personally, I won't buy a tank with clear anymore.

black looks so much better, and doesn't stain or show up the algae as well.

your local Big Al's will have tubes of All Glass Silicone for sale. it is nicer looking (blacker) than the Perfecto black silicone.
