Hi guys

I know black and silver arowanas look very different when young but do they look alot different when they are 20 inch plus? and which looks more stunning?

I am asking because the price difference is huge and i am not sure if the black worth getting.

Thanks

personally like blacks better..

To the casual hobbyist they look quite similar. To the trained eye they are distinctly different. Biggest difference is in size, while they get to be the same length the black aro will only be about half the size of a silver. Also the chances of the arowana getting drop eye are about 99 times greater with a silver as opposed to a black.

The following are 29" silver aros

here's a few pics of my silver and blacks. they're not full grown yet, only about 18-23 inches. hopefully the colors won't wash out too much.

blacks are great if you can get a good price. i just picked up 2 baby blacks for $75 a piece. once they start getting larger the prices are outrageous so make sure to try and buy them little.
