Some black spots have appeared on my common plecos nose. They are not markings. They are in a cluster and appear sunken into its skin.

Its a shy pleco and likes to come out around 3-6am, when I'm usually sleeping, i only saw the spots because I had to get up early for work today. Ill see if I can get it to come out when I get home and snap a few before it goes back into its pot.
