Hi I just got this flowerhorn 1 week ago and a few days ago these black spots on the fins appeared. Please tell me what to do, I heared it could be ammonia burn.

Not saying it doesn’t exist but I have never heard of that. I have heard of blood parrots showing block spots or some black coloration when stressed. I’m willing to bet that is the case with yours. You said you have only had it for a week so it’s probably still adjusting. I am also willing to bet your horn has some parrot in it. Beautiful fish good luck.

From what I've seen on fader fishes is that once stressed, the black markings starts showing up on body or fins. Eventually it will go away. Nothing to worry about besides keeping the fish happy.

Never heard of a FH getting black spots on its fins from stress. I know when it comes to fader's they can lose and regain color as they grow older like mine did. This here is Star and she was completely white at one point but regained some of her natural color back in here fins as she got older.
