Black tank with what color stand?

My tank is painted flat black with black silicone. What color would best compliment the black? I'm thinking cherry paint. The stand is made off cheap white wood.

As far as stand color, I'd say: whatever looks best with the rest of the room. As far as what I personally would use with your setup: flat black (pretty much my answer every time) .

Good point the dark decor may change the colors of your fish...before adding my metae to the darker tank he was light yellow after adding him he darkened up allot

I have black sand, black tank theme; and I honestly miss natural coloured gravel.

I'm still swaying between, but I think my next tank will be black background, with natural gravel; it tends to give decent colouring to a broader spectrum of fish IMO, currently my fish go really dark against the sand.
