i just got one of these its about 2.5". i was wondering how big do the get
how fast they grow the person said 6" i dont think that is right,
can it be housed in a 125 gal if not how long/big can i keep it in one
and dose is it mix with ca/sa cichlids?

Thats what I was afraid of. That fish is a brackish water fish and needs a good amount of salt in the water, which is of course bad for the cichlids. They will not live very long in freshwater, not to mention they can get 18".

brackish water fish... then why do they sell them as freshwater.
well can any one suggest a catfish that can live in a 125 gal?

Because sellers only want to sell fish and most don't care what size tank or the setup a fish is going into. Any synodontis species would be fine. I look those a lot. As well as pictus or 4 line pims. Awesome cats as well.

i had 6 columbian sharks for about 8months had them in freshwater they all got 8 to 9 inches each...just recently got rid of them to the lfs for 90bucks credit :(

i was there when she dropped them into the saltwater tank they all lived and they sold fast and expensive wish i knew....
