black tip sharks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
not in the least.
requiem sharks are fiendishly difficult to house and maintain in the home aquarium, 210 is not even suitable for most bamboo sharks, i believe.

If you want a Blacktip Reef, you will need atleast 15,000 gallons in a circular - oval shape. A 210 gallon is not even sufficient for the smallest of the Sharks available in the home aquaria trade. If you would like to keep a Shark, do alot of research, ask questions, and DO NOT just jump into it.

I saw several sites they said minimum tank space is 1000G for blacktip, so thats not true right? :nilly:

and 99.999% of all the people in the world dont have 15000G tank in their home :irked:

I could see 1000G min for a baby but that would only last about 6 months to a year before you would need to upgrade.

And never judge a tank by the gallonage. The most important thing is it's foot print. I have a 250 gallon tank I keep my coral cat shark in but it's 6' x3' x 20" high to that is more suitable than the typical 250 which is 6x2x3.

Just goes to show how bad many other sites are. This is why they are best kept in the ocean!
