I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the Columbian black-tipped shark and if they become brackish/marine as they reach adulthood. :headbang2

the old and true name for them there is Chanel Cats
they can go in Salt water but r more a brackish fish

channel cats and columbian sharks are totaly different. it is commonly accepted that the columbian sharks will eventualy require brackish/ marine water. however there are always exceptions as i believe the member above is trying to point out with his photo.

AFAIK, they're caught at Amazonas, far far away from the sea, in various sizes and ages. And I saw some large specimens grown in 100% freshwater just like Delgado's cats. BTW, NICE CATS, DEL!

Best regards.

Daniel.

Ive always been told hey require marine as adults..
