black water extract

i was planning to get some prepared black water extract made by Tetra, is it a good thing to add black water extract to you aro tank..will it help them

I've used this product and it does a good job simulating backwater amazon habitats. You are adding alot of organics and tannins to the system load but I've never had any problems. The fish generally act more comfortable with the extract in. You could use a type of compressed peat as well and make a kind of 'tea' and then add it. Suggesting this if you have alot of water to treat. have fun
