Does anyone use Black Water Extract or whatever it is called? Or used it before?
I have a 4.5 inch Rhom and I am wondering if it wouldn't be a bad idea.

I use it in my red belly tank and it just turns it a shade of yellow or brown

It actually does more than just turn the water brown, water tinting is part of it amongst other things.
I know it kind of makes it look like there are tannins in the water, would you folks say it is worth doing?
What else are its uses? The kid at the store said I would need it but didn't tell me what else it does? I need to start checking with you guys before I head to the store. Lol

It is meant to increase acidity and lower hardness as well as "soothing" properties which a lot of people believe in.
The blackwater extract is just expensive extract, I would use Alder cones or IndianAlmondLeaves which would give the tannin tinted look as well as good water chemistry altering which you would want with the species mentioned... far cheaper and more effective option.
