Thinking about getting my first ever wolf fish... But I need it to be in a community tank with pbass and rays... Bad idea? I have seen threads with bass beat up and I have seen threads with a ray and wolf hugging LOL i guess the answer is it all depends but is there anything else you guys can say to help my decision?

X2 not to derail you Mike but I have one coming in and would like to know the same. I also will have those fish plus huge pacman catfish.

with rays i say bad idea becuse wolf fish love the bottom and they love to nip out of nowhere, i wouldnt put ine with my rays

Not sure about a black wolf but some find success with the reds.

i decided not to get one even when i had a chance just because i saw... was it HKN? or hooever ... that lost a big bass to a big bad wolf... black wolf looks hecka cool... .but not cool enough to risk my azul

yes HKN lost a bass to a wolf.
michael,it really depends on the fish itself.
ive had aggressive and non aggressive wolves.
ive only owned one black and it was fine with some tankmates only.
others it just kept in a corner but didnt kill.
you just have to try it out and see if it works.
rays i dont know....the wolf just might get the feeling of nipping the rays disc or the ray might "pick" a fight.
