Could a Black wolf fish at 5-6 inch be ok in a tank with a Gar or even with Channa Diplogramma.I have been told that Wolf fish
can be community fish in with other monster fish ?

i had a wolfish doing ok (red) untill it got eaten everyone was same size of 4 inches the tank was stocked wolfissh silver arowana spotted gar rtc tsn endlis n a 7 inch lima and i had no ishues with the mix until the wolf got eaten 
think it was cause him n the cat shared the same rock tho, best to take decor out.

I have successfully kept a Black Xingu Wolf/Hoplias Curupira with Gars, SA/CA Cichlids an Armatus and a Scherzeri for 2 years without incident. I will say however that each individual is different and you may not have the same kind of success. If you do attempt a cohab make sure you've got a spare tank just in case and try the cohab in as large a tank as possible. Also make sure that the tankmates are larger than the Wolf and introduced prior to the Wolf itself and your chances at success will greatly increase. I will warn you in advance Curupira are very active for a Wolf and are not prone to staying at the bottom. As a matter of fact my Curupira stays close to the surface of the water approx. 40% of the time he's currently 14 inches. So be wary of the thinking that a surface fish will be safe from the Wolf's prowling.
Ok thanks so much guys, love to hear positive feedback. I have a F gar that is about 13inch and I have to Channa Diplogramma growing out so the Gar dont get them lol 
. I recently Bought RTC and he is only 2 inch max also growing out with the Channa. My friend has a BlackWolf that he wants to give me that is 5 inch. I have been thinking about it quite a bit. ( And yes I know how big these fish get, And have a back up plan just in case, plus a tank in the process of being build for my new home this summer. Anyhow with all that being said Wondering if these Monsters can maybe be put all together at appropriate times and sizes. Gar,Channa and RTC im not worried about mixing as much as adding the WOLF ?

Channa will go crazy one day and when the RTC is large enough it will eat what's left.yeah once the rtc has a huge mouth he might just breaathe the lil guys in by mistake lololol hell be ok for a minute tho not gaurenteed n youll wana keep an eye on him and keep him full it could work but its a gamble, we got close to the same stock and im doing fine

yeah channa will out grow the wolf easily. and the redtail will outgrow everything and eat them all.
hahahahah I think I will be fine I may stay away from the Wolf for now but the channa get 24 plus inch and the RTC gets bigger but im sure they will be fine as they wont fit in his mouth. same goes with my Gar lol My channa are both pushing 6 inch mark now and the RTC is like 2 inch max lol Gar is 13 inch is in separate tank.
