Black Wormish lookin stuff

Can Somebody please tell me what this stuff is... I have Googled bacteria, worms, parasites, and other things. I can not figure out what this stuff is.. It's on the plants in the filters. At first I wrote it off as fish waste but I need to be sure before my next water change and I clean my filters again.. Sorry about the quality of pictures it was takin with my Iphone.. I really think its poop...

Yes I do.. Thats what I thought it had something to do with. I have sand in my tank and I don't see Fish poop anywhere.... When I take clean out my canisters, its all in the carbon bags all in the sponge Its everywhere.. Thats why I got worried.. It makes my skin crawl to see it everywhere like that.

Well, whatever it is, your filters are doing their job! Agreeing on pleco poo, potentially.

My tank has the exact same stuff and it is EVERYWHERE. But all I have in my tank is drift wood and a 4 in red wolf fish. I gets seriously everywhere. My filter needs to be cleaned 1 time every 2 weeks for ONE fish because of this stuff.

Get a sample under a microscope or you'll never know what it really is.

I've seen it before in filters, it's normal and harmless. Just ignore it.
