Hi all,
All of a sudden I have an aquarium that is infested with thin, long worms. After this my aquarium has become extremely cloudy and nitrates gone up. Right now I had to change all white pre-filter to remove alot of worms but i still have in aquarium. I also did a 10% wc, i will try to do that every day maybe I eliminate them. Will they kill the fish? Practically I have catfish only in this aquarium. How did they come in the aquarium?

Thanks for help

120 litres
only bristlenose (2 parents and juveniles/fry)
what parameters do you need?

PH 7
GH 5
KH 3
Nitrate 50

I feed zucchini maybe there was something in the zucchini that fetched in my aquarium? the worms that i have are much shorter 0.5cm

Ammonia and Nitrites I'm guessing are zero?

I'm thinking you may have lost some of the fry. It's unlikely that aquatice worm eggs were in the zucchini but it possible. They were probably there the whole time and with a few of the fry dieing (which happens with every spawn) they spread due to additional food.

I'd just boost the WC and vacuum the gravel to remove both the worms and their food source.

yes that is right re ammonia and nitrites.

right now i am doing 10% daily wc started today. I do not have any gravel.

mmm well actually yes but the other tanks are in house and the larvae are in garage and I do not wish to introduce alot of mosquito's in my house :s
