What would you consider to be a fair price for a 4.5"-5" black aro? Around here theres a store selling 4.5"-5" blacks for $250. I asked another lfs and it would cost $600 to special order a 12" black. I live in MI btw.

Any where from $75-$150 would be fair. LFS are freaking expensive for certain fish...I understand you probably don't see them often but I doubt you will get anywhere from $250-$600 for one, unless you're selling to someone who has no clue in what they are doing. I don't ever see them in WI, yet....but I wouldn't even pay that much for one if they did have one.

The $30 for a black comment would usually go towards a lot of vendors who are selling them by the bulk.

I would say $100-120 is a fair price for that size-4"-5". Why don't you wait for some of the vendors here to get some in? It would be cheaper.
