Blackbelt Eye Question

My Blackbelt appears to have developed popeye. I have moved him to a hospital tank and I am treating him my maracyn 2 and salt. Here are my question.

1. At what temperature should the tank be?
2. The directions on the maracyn say to add a dose every day for 5 days. The hospital tank is small for a large fish. Should I change the water every day, or should I wait until the 5 days of dosing?

Any other advice on curing popeye would be helpful. Thanks.

I believe popeye usually goes away on its own. In the past I've just changed 50% of the water in the tank every other day for a week or so and its gone away on its own. I've never medicated for it. Good luck!
