i had about 4 females before when i was like 10 to 12. cool but creepy but awesome. lol i only wish i had a cammra then i try and get pics of the ones in my back yard

I think they are pretty cool. I use to keep wolf spiders since that is the only cool spider we have in MI, we don't have any cool venemous stuff.

Actually we do have a species of widow spider, seen a few myself, handle with care no point making the news for intentionally handling a dangerous creature. And in michigan it will make the news

In junior high we had a scorpion in science class, we put a black widow in because we were dumb kids and wanted to see them fight, It was in a little like 5 gallon with screen top,the Widow just made a ton of webs everywhere and we had to get rid of it, I don't think I could ever keep them in my room!! They are really beautiful maybe the danger/rep has something to do with it? I have never seen such a shiny black color!
