Blackworm and daphnia

I have yet to get these two existing side-by-side. In my picopond, adding daphnia wiped out the blackworms. In the tadpole tank with many blackworms, adding daphnia failed. Do they eat the same food and outcompete each other? Eat each other until one wins out? Has anyone succeeded in keeping them in the same tank?

i got some black worms from my lfs and my fish ate them. a couple days later i picked up some daphnia and brine shrimp and they love it too
