well i finally got fed up with my black beard and tried this...got to say it left the tank spotless...everyplant came out looking beautiful...but now 3 days later some are turning clear...my sword which were half way into there fully aquatic state are the worst...all the new big leafs are loosing color...also my anacharis is clearing up...i did 2-3 min for the swords and all the other plants and just 1 min for the anacharis...u think they will bounce back??...they are still growing but those clear leafs dont look so good...thanks guys in advance...now that i got rid of the algea what else do u reccomend to keep it out??...i use r/o water...run phosphate and silicate removers...run co2...and do not dose anything at all...im going to start dosing flourish anything else u guys reccomend as a good all around fert???...
 
no its 2-3 min... actually depends on the plant...but hardier plants can take 2-3 min easily...remember the solotion is only 1/19 so not much bleach
 
Trim off what is dead if you see no signs of life in the leaves.
If they don't fully die in about 4 days then they should bounce back.
When you dip you should try to keep the roots out of the bleach if possible.
I use 2 Min's at the Maximum, 1 Min's for plants that aren't to badly covered in bleach.

If your loosing colors in your plants then you should try using the color safe bleach ( JUST KIDDING! ) Don't do that ;)
 
lol...maybe that was it...color safe bleach!!...i did keep the roots out when i dipped them...i learned this from ur thread where u didnt know and just dipped the whole thing...lol...i would have done the same thing if wyldfya wouldnt have said something in ur thread
 
They should bounce back. Egeria, and similar leaf plants will not tolerate bleach solutions for long.
