bleeding hole in fish

Hi,

What would cause a bleeding sore that burn a hole in a fish could be ? The other fish were picking at it until the fish died.

At first i saw the other fish picking on my bigger gold barb female. I then saw a bleeding sore and a small hole. As time went by the hole became bigger and the others kept picking at it.

When i removed the dead fish the hole had when through completly on one side of the fish. All the others fish are fine and have been in the tank for 2 years.

Sounds likely Aeromonas hydrophila, a gram negative bacterial infection.

Could also be ammonia burn. Either way change your water weekly at least. I'd do a 60% wc right this minute. Match temp at the tap and add dechlor

It seems they are fighthing. They are grouping on another female. She was healthy and now they made her bleed near the anus. I do everyday partial water change.
