Bleekeri or Polleni ?

The green terror is about 3 times it's size but is terrified of the little guy haha. Gets aggressive with the GT that used to pick on him

I think you bought my fry and a nice one at that! The parents were sold to me from Spencer as a Small Spot species and after seeing quite a lot of other pics and doing some research (all internet based unfortunately) I would have to agree with this assessment. I say unfortunately because I have found contradictory reports as to what a Small-Spot and Large-Spot Bleekeri are named. Therefore, I continue to use the 'Small Spot' naming convention and people seem to know what I'm talking about.

You will notice the pattern difference between yours and Tilapia-mariae's.

Ya i think i did, Dan right? Ya i did buy it off you, the fish never ate for a week, he'd take the odd bite then just spit it out. I eventually managed to get him to eat krill, still won't touch pellets. He still hasn't grown to much, do you find them slow growers? The GT is huge now, almost the size of my 5" tiger oscar. I have already had the poleni in the medi tank. Him and the salvini had a go, and the poleni ended up with a scrape on his eye. The 2-2.5" poleni chases the GT tho, doesn't mess with the salvini anymore. I just can't for that fish to wind up like yours.

How many tanks do you have btw
 
Yeah Dan's my bro. I think his male is a couple years older than the parents I have but they are the same species. I should get a pic up of it someday. I do find that they take some time to grow. They seem to enjoy Bloodworms/Whiteworms so if he is being stubborn you could try that. The GT's all seem to explode after they get out of that fry tank! Eat like machines! I only have about 400g worth of tanks. Are you a member of the RAS? They have a show coming up at easter.
 
I am not a member , but my parents are so i sometimes go with them. They never carry anything id want. Mostly angels discus and such. I like the the CA's/SA's , that maddy i couldn't turn down tho. I was thinking about getting a large tank just for Trimacs, Red Tiger Mota, or Dovii(nic species) Regina doesn't seem to have anything quite like these. Id like one of those Beani's that Jeff Rapps is selling right now, but i don't think he would ship here, and if he did i think it would cost alot id probley buy 5 pair em up, whichever i decide. The extra will be sold, so if your interested let me know.
