We have 2 what we think are Bleekeri (large spot). Need help with id and info. Whats the best diet? Max growth? Growth rate? Tank requirment? R they schooling? Tankmates? sorry this was the best pic I could get of one.

Usually if its a bleekeri it will not tolerate other bleekers. However that might come more in to play the older it gets. I feed mine shrimp, blood worms, LOVES Earth worms. I think they can get up to 14 inches. I have mine in with 2 dates and a red tailed shark in a 55. He chases the dats but thats about it. He is a bit small to tell you might need to wait tell he grows a bit.

yayy, i was about to ask the same question.
so how do you guys differentiate these guys when young and as they are older?
i'm thinking about getting 3 bleekeri's soon.

Its a bit hard when they are small. I have herd some people say that you can tell by their color or by the slop of their nose. Mine is about 3 inches and I have a hard time trying to figure out weather he is a poleeni or a bleekeri. They are the same family and have the same basic look. In fact for a while they were considered the same fish until someone was able to see personality differences and spot size difference. Chances are good that you have a poleeni seeing that bleekeris are extremely rare. The big difference is the spots. Big=Bleekeri small=poleeni

Is this poleeni or bleekeri? I picked him up today not really knowing what he was, only that he was an amazing looking fish. I put him in with my bichirs and he seems to be doing well.

Post 6 is a Polleni and a nice one at that. I have a six inch Polleni and it's by far my favorite. Mine is particularly active of an evening when I shut the lights in the tank off. He scares easy with me, but is a bull around the tank.
