Hi all

I recently saw some bleheri`s in person, and i was hooked so now i`m setting up a tank for some.
The tank is a 200 liter (100x40x50H), and i plan on getting 6 bleheri`s in hopes of a pair later on. The tank is unheated and will be filter`d by an old Eheim cannister + sponge filters.

I`ve tought about removing the swords in the corner and dropping the water lvl 10-15 cm, good idea ?
Also i think its a bit bare at the moment, anyone have any suggestions on other plants ? so far I`ve got :

java moss
java fern
moss balls
swords
anubias "nana"
some floating plant. "water lettuce" i think

I`ll update this thread whenever something new happends. The fish should be ariving at the end of the month :)

Hi,a few more plants wont hurt, check water values, yes plants that dont require specific needs, let your tank run at least one week and a half, let me know ,good luck!

thats is a good start mate ,and yep more plants will be needed to make them feel secure , you could add more bogwood with plants attatched or any easy grow plant really , best bet would be to talk to whereever you get your plants from and let them know you are doing a unheated lowlight lowtech planted setup , they will then be able to tell you what is best suited from there stock . the plants you have now are all good for a channa tank , i actually like useing swords as they are so cheep and bulk out the plants a lot ,

cheers col

Looks good, although i would put some fake plants in it also until the real ones grow to create some significant coverage! Looks great though. I have to do the same thing!
