I'm moving my puffer into his 45 gallon tank, when it's finished cycling. He's currently living in a brackish setup with an s.g. of 1.012, he'll be acclimated to the 45 gal which i'm thinking of putting at 1.022.

My question is, can I keep a Blenny with him, and possibly a small clean up crew composed of some Nerite Snails, and maybe a few crabs/shrimp, to control algae growth, or will my puffer end up killing them?

Also, like i said, the new s.g. is currently going to be at 1.022, is that too weak for the clean up crew and the Blenny? I'm concerned making it 1.024-2.025 might be too much for my Puffer.

Thanks for the help. I'm completely new to full saltwater.

My friend had a green spotted puffer in full salt. It was super aggressive and I would not have put anything in there with it

Thanks you guys. From browsing the forums it appeared as though people had done it before with success, I didn't see how it was possible though, so i decided to ask before I did anything.
I might try the clean up crew minus the Blenny.

Before I sold my green spotteds I had acclimated them to full salt and tried a clean up crew. They went through 40 astraeas and 40 red leg hermits in a weeks time...

Yeah.. I forgot the main point of this thread was to mix a cleanup crew with a GSP. Put it this way. My friend originally had a white spotted hermit that was double the size of the GSP and it got torn apart
