I've been trying to nick a pic off the net of this fish that I have. I believe its a kind of Goby but cannot find the correct name. Here its listed as a "Lawnmower Blenny" but I doubt its in the same family. However the pic here is as close to my guy as i can find.

It changes a bit of its patterning from time to time. Stays the same shade of brown-black mostly. It was doing thick tiger stripes when i got it. Now its settled into a thick dark band from head to tail all along the back. It hides in the rocks and pops up to do the fishy equivalent of push-ups and drops back down when I get close to the tank.

Eats anything that floats nearby, pellets, flakes, brine shrimp, blood worms, mysis shrimp... Its a real character in there...

yeah that's a lawnmower blenny alright

Basically you can tell its a blenny because of it eyelash type things on its head which i think are called cirri or something similar.

there are TONS of blennies with that similar shape and even coloration. if u could post a pic we would definitely be able to tell what kind u have.
