Today I checked out my tanks and noticed one of my indo's eye's was cloudy. Taking a closer look, seems like it swam into something and scraped off the outer layer of the eye completely off. The part that was scraped off is still hanging on the eye, but now the eye is cloudy white. Will it heal by itself or is the fish blind in that eye?

Hmmmm. That's difficult to say. You can tell if he's blind over time. If he seems to not respond to stimuli or activity on the side with the damaged eye, he might be blind. I think the eye will eventually heal, but I'm thinking that he might suffer some lost of vision. Maybe he won't be totally blind, but partially in that eye. At least he still has the other eye.

My one got his even bitten by my silver aro, a flap of skin was off the eye and had a large cut + cloudy - he made a full recovery within 2 weeks.
